Key Policy Areas

Our policies are designed to ensure fair competition and a professional environment for every professional golfer on tour.

📋

Player Conduct

All competitors are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship. Abuse of officials, fellow players, or spectators will result in immediate sanctions under our conduct framework.

⚖️

Entry & Withdrawals

Entries close 72 hours before each tournament. Withdrawals must be communicated in writing. Late withdrawals without notice may result in a suspension from the following event.

💰

Prize Money & Payments

Prize money is distributed within 14 working days of the final round. All payments are subject to the correct completion of tax documentation and banking details submitted at registration.

Equipment & Dress Standards

The Jamega Pro Golf Tour adheres strictly to the R&A Rules of Equipment. Players are responsible for ensuring all clubs, balls and devices conform to the Rules of Golf before play begins.

Dress code requires collared shirts and tailored shorts or trousers at all times during tournament play. Soft spikes are mandatory on the course. Players found in breach of dress standards will be asked to correct the issue before teeing off.

Frequently Asked Policy Questions

Browse the most common questions our players ask about tour regulations.

What happens if I need to withdraw after the entry deadline?
If you withdraw after the entry deadline, please contact the Tour Director immediately by email or telephone. Genuine injury or emergency withdrawals are handled sympathetically, but failure to notify us may result in a one-event suspension and forfeiture of the entry fee.
How are pace-of-play violations handled?
Our rules committee implements a strict pace-of-play policy with monitoring at key checkpoints. A first warning is issued for being out of position. A second breach results in a one-stroke penalty. A third breach leads to a two-stroke penalty and possible disqualification.
Can I appeal a ruling made during a tournament?
Yes. All players have the right to request a review by the Tournament Director. If the matter cannot be resolved on site, a written appeal may be submitted within 48 hours of the final scorecard being returned. The appeal will be reviewed by the Tour Committee within 10 working days.
Are caddies allowed and are there restrictions?
Professional caddies and amateur caddies are both permitted. However, no one currently suspended or banned from any sanctioned golf body may caddie in a Jamega event. Players are responsible for their caddie's conduct and dress code compliance at all times.

Health, Safety & Weather Policies

Player safety is our top priority. Play may be suspended at any time due to lightning, heavy rain or other hazardous conditions. The Tournament Director holds sole authority to suspend, resume or cancel play.

In the event of a suspension, all players must leave the course immediately and await notification from the rules committee. Resumption times will be communicated via the Tour notice board and our latest scores page.

Important: Any player who refuses to suspend play when directed faces immediate disqualification and possible suspension from future events.
